Money Never Sits in a Student's Personal Wallet as 'The Fund'
Student contributions are never commingled with personal household money. Mobile transfers arrive into a designated society mobile merchant account, and cash collected at campus desks is deposited into the college bank branch daily before 4:30 PM.
Two Admins Must Sign Before a Challan is Paid
One student alone can never release funds. Payouts require dual authorization: the President verifies student eligibility, and the Vice President or Treasurer verifies the bank challan balance. Both timestamps and names are permanently recorded in the audit log.
We Pay the College Challan Directly — We Never Hand Cash to Applicants
To prevent misdirection of funds or predatory pressure on vulnerable students, EduFunds pays the official college fee challan directly at the National Bank / Bank of Punjab campus counter. The student receives the officially stamped student-copy counterfoil.
Public Ledger is the Default (Names Can Be Anonymous)
Every incoming rupee is immediately listed on the public transparency ledger. Contributors who wish to remain discreet can choose the "Anonymous" toggle. The amount, timestamp, and verification status remain 100% visible to the campus.
Audit Log Cannot Be Deleted (No Delete Button in the UI)
Our software and accounting records have no delete function. If an entry is rejected or contested, an explanatory note is appended, but the original entry remains forever in the immutable chronological activity log.
Collectors Cannot Verify Their Own Contributions
Student volunteers who sit at campus collection desks can log incoming contributions, but they have no permission to approve or verify receipts. Only the Treasurer, who has read-only bank statement access, reconciles and approves ledger items.
What College Administration Knows vs What They Do Not Run Day-to-Day
The college administration at City College — Sir Syed Campus is aware of EduFunds and has confirmed that peer fee pooling is permitted under college society guidelines. However, day-to-day operations, application reviews, and fund disbursements are strictly handled by elected student peers without administrative red tape.
